Up for sale is a set of 20" 5ZIGEN GRAVIS. I bought these online back in the spring with plans to change my setup for the summer. I got busy and they are still sitting in the garage. New plans now, so they must go!

Size/offset:
20X8.5 (38)
20X9.5 (45)

Bolt pattern:
5X114.3

The wheels are silver with a diamond cut polished face. The rear wheels are brand new and never used. The fronts were used on a 5ZIGEN sponsored show car and were only used to and from events.
The only blemish is one of the fronts has some sort of issue underneath the clearcoat in one spot that is visible in the pics.
Overall a nice quality set of wheels at a great price for 20's!

$850 + shipping.

I have to lower intake manifolds with stripped bolt holes in them. Both would need new threads put in at least 2 of the bolt holes. These would be good for test fitting or even porting out and installing on you VI kit. I've seen people grind their UIM down a little to make the bolt sit lower which would eliminate the need to fix the threads. Im looking to get $30 shipped each. I'll have pictures up soon.

i had a p0500 code and i replaced the VSS sensor.

i have a code reader (scan gauge 2, good stuff, by the way) that also reads some of the stuff the ECU monitors (intake temp, water temp, and so on). after i replaced the VSS sensor, i plugged the reader in, cleared the code and took a short drive. for the first minute, everything works, then i noticed the "mph" is "0", meaning the ECU is not getting data from VSS (my guess).

according to the code reader, my ECU is not getting any "speed" data because the "mph" is showing "0". the odd thing is, my speedometer still works. i don't understand how this is happening. any idea?

the test drive is short, so it didn't trigger the p0500 code, but i'm sure if i drive it long enough, the p0500 code will come on again. anyone has any idea what i'm dealing with here?

thanks.

Nissan Extends CVT Warranty to 10yr/120K

We received an important piece of mail from Nissan Headquarters with regard to my wife's 2008 SER with CVT and we just got it today, 11-20-09.

They have extended the warranty on CVT transmissions to 10 years, 120,000 miles and will reimburse customers who paid for repairs or replacement of a CVT even if they no longer own the car as long as the warranty extension would have covered their car had it been in force sooner.

Nissan CVT Customer Service Center: 888-388-0318

Deadline for submitting Reimbursement Claim Form: July 31, 2010.

Nissan provided a sticker to be applied onto the warranty booklet.

The warranty extension is effective immediately as well as retroactively.

Nissan says they have taken this action to show their confidence in the CVT technology and to show their commitment to stand behind their products.

My wife's CVT has been faultless and impressive in its operation and we had no complaints or communications with Nissan. They have acted on their own.

I'll try to be brief, yet give enough info to ask for y'alls help... 1996 Maxi SE 5seed. Check engine light after starter replacement and induction clean/service(checked connections/hoses in drivers firewall area ;). Technician scanned error and said VSC (VSS)error...light on but no other performance issues other than cruise control won't indicate/engage now. He re-set erro light but said it would return after 2nd start...it did, after a short drive! Does the VSS have a wire connection on topside/rearward of my manual tranny with a "plug-in"/spade connection held in w/ one (10MM?) bolt?? If anyone has VSS part ## to share with info, it would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!
Thank you,

So I took my car to my mechanic 2 days ago to check out an oil leak. I thought it was the crank seal at first, since it was leaking from the passenger side of the engine but it turns out it wasn't the seal, it was the rear valve cover gasket, and the front one is looking pretty bad as well. He quoted me $250 to replace both valve cover gaskets. I want to know if that's a decent price or not.

Clean body, interior and engine bay. Paint still glossy with only one visible door ding. It does have the oil gasket leak problem though. The condition of the car is pretty good. Tags are good and the title is clean.

Folks of the MAX. I am experiencing possible engine trouble. (no codes) First, this has happened to me once before. Poor choice of gas. 93 from Walmart. Normally, it's good gas, I guess it just so happened to be not that day. Drove the car around for the day, went home, shut down and did not start back up until the next day, later in the evening. Then the car started to sputter. Thinking this was the exact experience I had with bad gas during the summer, I put in Stabilizer in the tank. Thinking this would have worked, nope. But, the very next day, started the car and it was fine. (still no codes) Well, over a course of 24 hrs, it started again upon starting the engine. (no codes) Ok. This is what I did for the past two weeks until now:
Changed the spark plugs, Ran Sea Form through the break line to the engine, changed out the air filter, fuel filter, oil change - including oil filter change, too, PVC valve, cleaned the TBI, cleaned the MAF sensor and then still no change.
I was suspecting KS or O2 sensor but I am not getting any codes. Check engine light not on.
Could be timing out, don't know enough about the 4th generation engine. So, guys and gals, can you help this old timer out?
