02 Maxima Stock vs BOP

Bought this 02 GLE Auto a little over a month ago and wanted to see how much it's putting down stock so I can look back to it once I get a few other mods. I did two pulls, one FULLY stock, and the other with the NWP Block off Plate. I grounded the knock sensor prior to "dynoing" the car today. I guess I'm happy with the numbers since my other 02 auto made 187whp with intake, exhaust, BOP.. but it needed spark plugs BAD and the knock sensor wasn't grounded yet. Here are the numbers, the graph, and videos. Enjoy.

Run 1, STOCK:
Max Power: 188.99 Max Torque: 209.30

Run 2, w/ BOP:
Max Power = 193.93 Max Torque: 211.52

Nice. It looks like there is no low & mid range loss with the block off plate

i expect this thread to blow up soon lol.. alot of people argue with this wether its worth it or not...and i think this goes to prove it makes more gains then losses...

?--stock intake?..gab? ...sort ram?

edit: did you put that pinstripe on or did it come with the car?

i think you need to get a short ram intake with a good filter and redyno to see if it helps out the BOP

To be fair, the graph starts @ 3800 RPM.

*Which is coincidentally after where the VI would open anyway.

How many miles on the motor? Is this usually where stock auto 5.5 dyno at? Seems a bit low...

its a piece of metal or platic either way...its the removal of the vias the yields the gain...personally supporting nwp is worth the extra tad bit as aaron has made other vq specific mods with some of the profits...no offense cory

lol

its good to still see post from people who can have a good time with advice without flaming or coming close to blows on this site

im here to produce parts to people who want them without the high cost of production. i dont make much with the sales of 5th and 6thgen bop plates. it barely covers the cost of shipping , material , paint , and hardware. i make peanuts bro. i do however have a drive for doing something that hasn't been done. 5th , 6th ,7th gen bop plates are just a start. lots of plans for the rest of this year and more to come.

i honestly posted here to show people theres and alternative to high cost of the same item

take care

It be nice to see a dyno comparison on the newer generation of FWD VQ (dual BOP's) on a non-CVT car such as the Altima.

Nice I think I will do a baseline with BOP and JWT popcharger by the end of the month and a month later with Cattman Headers, Fastcat, and '' Exhaust to see what will be the gain...
