So I went to the dyno today..

and yes, i know there is a dyno forum its quiet in there, so i figured i would post here. If a mod feels this is wrong, please move the thread..thanks!

I went on a dyno dynamics dyno. Doing some research, it seems they read low anywhere between 10-12% from a dynojet. I posted a thread here, if you want to comment on a dynojet vs dyno dynamics

Dynojet vs dyno dynamics

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gYfiky0wZ4

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qj71uVi4_a8

they dyno operator said that on a dynojet i should be at 255whp, which doesnt make sense as 10% would put me at 266??? idk, and i dont really care, the car sounds great and the motor seems healthy to me!

The lighter wheels def make a difference. Thanks for sharing; you've got one stout motor.

Great info; I need to weigh my Ti Wheels and my new 18s; i'm sure lighter wheels will help drastically.

Very true. I should have said, "well-maintained and low mileage."

Hotshot, you should lay off driving for a few months and let me catch up to you.

The light weight wheels definitely help.

I can't tell from your chart, is that standard numbers or SAE corrected? Remember the SAE corrected numbers allow for a more accururate comparison between cars. Although with DD dyno it's kind of tough anyway.

Grand hustle, did you get SAE numbers on your runs?

I need to swap out the Rotella 5w-40 Syn, in another 1600 miles; and time to switch over the Mobil 1.

Nice numbers, I have the same color max as yours, just hit 76k. Personally I think the GLE rims from a 5.5 gen look better/newer, I currently have the stock SE 17s, is there a big difference in weight? The SE's should be lighter right?

yeah, it looks like the torque numbers are under or about 220, which is really strange. maybe the DD reads especially low on torque

I'm still under 54K miles at the moment. I guess you'd have to lay off for a whole year for me to catch up to you.

Hoping my low mileage engine is "stout" too!

So... tell us again why ran the numbers on your car? Curiosity? Confidence? ECU Flash?

I can't tell from your chart, is that standard numbers or SAE corrected? Remember the SAE corrected numbers allow for a more accururate comparison between cars. Although with DD dyno it's kind of tough anyway.

Grand hustle, did you get SAE numbers on your runs?
idk... but iirc i didnt, im sure with the smoothing set to 5, im sure the sae corrected numbers would be between 230-232whp... non the less, great with the mods i got... i wanna get mines tuned before i get anything corrected

well, my friend has a shop, and was doing a dyno day, so i said why not. my car always felt strong, and YEARS ago i went on a dynojet with just an intake and did 218whp/228tq so i wanted to see how much more power i got from my headers and c/b

I wanted to sell it, and I tried my hardest, but it wouldnt sell. Turning it back to stock proved harder than I imagined. Couldnt track down suspenion parts, headers etc. So I just kept it, probably will keep it for good as my DD.

First dyno run I did with my HS headers was when the new engine was put in. Never got to dyno with my old engine. I have to go back on dyno with my CM headers, exhaust and all the other little bolt ons. I dont have a AFC though...still hoping for some good #s though

Sometimes to get a generic tach signal they will hold the rpm's at a certain point for a few seconds to let the dyno computer calculate the rpm based off how fast the rollers are turning compared to the tach in the car. Lets say he wanted to hold the rpm's steady at 3,000 rpm for this but accidently held it a little off at say 2,900 rpms. You would then be throwing the dyno calculations off (rpm only).
