Finally dynoed the car at higher boost, 431 hp/368 tq
I have been having some fuel system problems, so I wanted to dyno the car again and try to get the issues all sorted out. I think I figured out that the rising rate adjustable fpr is not rising anymore under boost so I will get that fixed. I was pretty rich in the middle and a little lean up top on this run.
I have seen over 12psi before from this pulley at the track, but today on the first two runs I was only getting a hair over 10 psi. For the last run I tightened the belt a little bit and saw 11 psi for this 3rd and final run.
Stock bottom end VQ35 with JDM knockoff cams and VQ30 timing equipment
V1 S-trim vortech with 2.70" pulley at 11psi for this dyno.
Intercooled, 3" charge piping, 3.5" CAI for S/C
Z32 MAF sensor, ported 70mm TB and hand ported IM
JWT ECU with S/C program and 100 octane timing map
deatschwerks 550cc injectors, walbro pump with boost-a-pump
adjustable fpr, SAFC for fine tuning
cattman headers
2.5" test pipe with electric cutout opened for dyno
2.5" exhaust with hooker muffler
fidanza flywheel/ACT XT pressure plate and street disc

any vids of the dyno?? Also being a 6th gen owner, was wondering what the perks are by using the VQ30 Timing equipment vice the VQ35 Timing equipment?
Using the vq30 timing equipment is not for power reasons. 4th and 5th gen guys with the VQ30 originally need to do this so that our original ECU can be retained with the swap.
I am right there with ya'll and once I put my new gates belt on I will redyno, hopefully this week. Great numbers man! Were you running 100 octane fuel for this dyno pull?
Zack

No, 93 octane. I had JWT program my ecu for 100 octane because their normal boosted program is very weak on timing and doesn't make good power.

I did that last time when I was on 6 lbs of boost and dynoed 366hp. I think it was around 20hp then off the top of my head. I was trying to get the fuel sorted out this time and didn't want to change any other variables.

Vey nice numbers. Was your 11.6 at 12lb's of boost?
It was the same pulley and same setup, but I am not sure how much actual boost I saw on the run. It might have been less because I only trapped 120mph on the 11.6 pass, and previously had been almost 122mph.

Spray it and get into the 10's!
Idk though... your pretty much at the limit for a stock bottom end vq35de.
Do you think you can get any faster by building the bottom? Or will it just blow by all the gears after 500hp?

500hp in a fwd would be useless. I already have to stay on drag radials full time just to hook in 2nd gear (sometimes). 1st gear is useless except on slicks.
I can run faster than my 11.6 if I launch it hard like I used to when I was n/a, I just haven't been able to yet. It might not even hook with a hard launch. I have already reached the point where adding more power won't help anything. It has a few more tenths in it now.

awesome #'s matt. You must really love that car to have taken it this far. When are you going to the track next?
I have enjoyed the car, but I can feel the end drawing near. I will probably try to go to the track one more time this spring and give it one more chance.

I'm hoping to get 4:10's and drag radials in the next few months so I might actually give you a good race this time. Just got a cam and tune so I am in need of some good races.

since you already dumped that much money in the car... just asking:
Would you be able to shave some time off the 1/4 mile if you were to get a quaife HLSD? Obviously i'm kind of a noob still, but wouldn't that help to put the power to the ground. From your mod list I couldn't see whether or not you had the AE tranny in it. Quaife probably isn't substantially better than the AE LSD.

I don't have the AE tranny, but I do have the factory VLSD unit. It works fine. I bet I would not be able to tell any difference with a quaife. I can already leave two black strips anytime I want to, and when I am on the slicks it hooks ok. Weight transfer is the biggest enemy of a fwd at the dragstrip and there is only so much you can do. I can shave some more off my time in the 1/4 mile from the launch though. I should be able to get back in the 1.7x 60ft range if I decide to launch it hard like I used to when I was n/a.
