Stock autos do about 192 - 196. And yes, it has been beaten to death and we almost class acted Nissan for 15 hp.

We both said that car felt strong. This is some good proof of that fact.

Put some decent tires on it and bring it to the track and 10$ says it runs better times than your G35c did.

these motors really shine where it comes to tq, if that can be even said for a v6, the hp is ok but the tq is what will get you moving.

Yeah...It def feels like it will walk my old G coupe from a stand still. On the highway though its hard to say, but either way I think I got a good one other than the fact she likes the oil like the G did .

They all like the oil. I switched back to regular dino oil because my engine was eating mobil 1 a little too quickly.

what was wrong with the G?

I'm gonna start modding soon... i really should get a baseline dyno beforehand just to see what i'm working with, but.. meh.. i'll just slap some headers, spacers, and new spark plugs in there and see what that gets me.. then tune it up correctly

I'm holding my breath. Mine burns about 1/4 quart every 5-7k. But RevUps = Inevitable Oil Burners.

The IM has just about everything to do with those said torque values. (IMO)

i was saying what was wrong with the G in the sense that the stock 6mt G35 should not get walked by a stock 6mt maxima.. i was really thinking about getting a G35 coupe for my next car.. but reading through that thread about that MASSIVE oil consumption is making me think twice

Exactly. AKA, it's crap as far as performance driving is concerned. If it was designed differently, not only could it have made more power, it could've made more peak torque as well; albeit at a slightly higher peak RPM. Alas, it is what it is.

Strong #'s for a stocker either way.

It wouldent surprise me after seeing real world results for both. I ran my automatic I35 at the 1/8th mile and if I remember correctly I was running mid 9s at about 75mph (it was also like 90 degrees that day). I brought my moms auto G35c to the same track a month later (running at night when it was cooler) to see how it compared and it took me a few runs to break into the 9s. I think my best of the night was like a 9.8 at about 71-72 mph. The 60s were also about a tenth in a half off what I was able to do with a little more wheelspin from the I35.

In the 1/8th that is a pretty substantial difference.

And the G35c is substantially heavier than the sedan.

I've driven honda's made in the 80's that were faster than your coupe.

True story.

Good to see the consistency between runs, at least he can dyno a manual :Hide: :Wall:
