The crank numbers are more like 245HP/265TQ. Beaten to death...

We both said that car felt strong. This is some good proof of that fact.
Put some decent tires on it and bring it to the track and 10$ says it runs better times than your G35c did.

these motors really shine where it comes to tq, if that can be even said for a v6, the hp is ok but the tq is what will get you moving.

Yeah...It def feels like it will walk my old G coupe from a stand still. On the highway though its hard to say, but either way I think I got a good one other than the fact she likes the oil like the G did .

They all like the oil. I switched back to regular dino oil because my engine was eating mobil 1 a little too quickly.

what was wrong with the G?
I'm gonna start modding soon... i really should get a baseline dyno beforehand just to see what i'm working with, but.. meh.. i'll just slap some headers, spacers, and new spark plugs in there and see what that gets me.. then tune it up correctly

I'm holding my breath. Mine burns about 1/4 quart every 5-7k. But RevUps = Inevitable Oil Burners.
The IM has just about everything to do with those said torque values. (IMO)

i was saying what was wrong with the G in the sense that the stock 6mt G35 should not get walked by a stock 6mt maxima.. i was really thinking about getting a G35 coupe for my next car.. but reading through that thread about that MASSIVE oil consumption is making me think twice

Exactly. AKA, it's crap as far as performance driving is concerned. If it was designed differently, not only could it have made more power, it could've made more peak torque as well; albeit at a slightly higher peak RPM. Alas, it is what it is.
Strong #'s for a stocker either way.
