Sweet #'s

Got runfiles? If so, may i have them please bizzy1999@hotmail.com

If you could post the AFR curve, that be nice.

Take it to 6550 next time What was the difference between runs that made more hp? Also, what was different on this run vs your previous best?

Thanks!! I will be going back to the dyno when the weather cools off. Gotta a new baby boy so car tuning is on hold for now. My last run was around 236whp/237wtq. I took off the Frankencar muffler and replaced it with a straight thru design cheap muffler from X3racing. I also changed the Apex'i intake filter to a $30 Filter from the internet somewhere. I had the dyno shop put the AFR to around 13.5 last year due to my car being a daily driver. I just wanted to see if my car could put down the numbers it was capable of with what I have installed. I am not too familiar with this mod but, next year I will be looking to purchase the Technosquare ECU Flash(L-SPEC maybe). That should put me close to if not over the 260whp mark. I still have that stupid SES light from my header install 2 years ago that will never go away. Other than that, I am pretty happy with the numbers.

Nice improvement. I’m still sticking with my stock muffler because it hasn’t failed me yet. The L-spec really doesn’t do much if any for performance. The throttle closing theory has been debated, and IMO, has been shot down. Speed limiter also doesn’t add power. Mine is useful because I’m auto, and some have seen a soft limiter @ 130MPH, which is about fuel cut (6550) for 4AT A33B’s. One thing you’ll like is the extended rev limiter, but your dyno cuts out earlier than stock, so it will be nice to see what you will muster@ that RPM(7100). What I would suggest before you do the L-spec is the large MAF mod since you already have the SAFCII. It quite cheap and you will feel the gains even @ part throttle.

Here’s the link.

BTW, I have not receive the runfiles . Were you able to get them from the shop?

Okay, are there instructions on how to SSIM the manifold or is this only available from SR20...

Nmex you have the link because all I can find are vague references to this.

Those are nice numbers, you're going to have to do much more than a L-spec to get to 260 whp.

Btw, I'm curious to see if the Frankencar rear really is that restrictive since your peak hp has changed considerably. I was always under the impression that the differences were minimal up top between the baffled FC and a straight through muffler.

Beastly #'s. Congrats. Just curious harmbone, what did you do w/ the frankencar muffler? Disregarding sound, this really changes my impressions of that muffler. I know theres too many factors that could account for the different #s and Im not trying to start anything back up but i remember reading Catts "claiming" it was more restrictive than stock. Itd be interesting to see someone dyno a frankencar vs. stock vs. a free flowing muffler.

Nmex, any new plans to try and keep up w/ the 6 speeds?

I sold it about 2 years ago huffdaddy. It was way too heavy for one thing. It kept banging underneath and yes it is very restrictive. Look at the cutout on their website.
NmexMAX--I will not get any runfiles until this fall. When I meet up with the guys in OK City in September, I will post them.

I plan on changing my rear section very soon for something free-flowing like a custom magnaflow. I unfortunately do not have a shop equipped with a mandrel bender nearby so I'm thinking about buying some pre-bent stuff online and having a local place weld. Any thoughts?
