Mods are in sig plus SSIM. I would really like to be around the 255+ whp. I'm thinking about installing a larger MAF housing, new axle-back (prob custom magnaflow), UR UDP (for more responsiveness I know I wont get any hp). Any other ideas on making more power? WBO2? EU? I'm almost 100% this was a dynojet 248 for anyone who is curious. Thanks

Strong #'s, especially up top.

WB O2 and the fact that you already have the EMB, there is more potential right there if you wanted to do that before the EMU. Did you do anything to smooth your AFR curve?

BTW, any runfiles?

I sent them to Nmex if you want them I can email them to you. I just realized I posted 234wtq when it's actually 233, I posted this at 3 am. Can anyone explain why the altima guys seem to put down more power than us? I know two dynos cannot really be compared without a significant degree of variance but they seem to make 230 no prob like without tuning. Do they use a different ecu? Dual exhaust help things maybe? I'm puzzled about this.

Edit: Nmex I didn't do anything to smooth the A/F curve just good tuning. I'm getting about 18mpg city and 25-28mpg highway now, not bad considering I hit 7k about once a day =)

But some Altima and A34 owners need to attend dynoing 101 class since there are some common discrepancies with most of their dynos. i.e. RPM signal loss, (easy fix), do not rev to rev limit (tricky on the 5AT, but not terribly difficult)

Some, but not all. I've requested from at least a half dozen Altima owners that have dynod for runfiles, and none of them ever have any.

Reason being is because i would like to compare their runs to ours and see where the power difference is.

Nmex when you asked about smoothing I was thinking you were asking if I had manipulated the graph somehow in the WinPEP software. I can't take credit for the smooth a/f curve, I don't know how to tune.

Do you think I/WE could benefit from a WB02? One of my neighbors has one for sale with a display. What could it change, just tuning on the fly?

Ok, I see now. Typically, AFR's aren't that smooth, stock. A33B's like to dip into rich mode 5.5k+.

Your sig mentions an EB? With an EB and a WB, you could gain a little more.

I have a SAFCII, and a WB. With these I can alter my AFR and watch it as well.

i believe the reason they put down a lil more power is becuse the 5 speed has about 15% drivetrain loss while the 6 speed transmissino has about 18% drive train loss.

Ok to clear things up with you. The 5 speed automatic equipped Altima and 6th gen Maxima, (aka 5AT), typically both put down more power than the automatic A33B (aka, 4AT , also A33B = Chassis code for 2k2-2k3).

Yes, you are correct in that the 5 speed manual equipped Altima 3.5 puts down slightly more than a 6MT A33B. But that is beside the point, the point is stated clearly in the first part of this post, here, I'll quote it for you.
