new best 3.5 dyno...273hp, 249tq all motor

I went to dyno tonight for the heck of it. Since the last dyno I have installed a zeitronix wideband and tuned it on the street (which turned out identical when I datalogged on the dyno at 13:1) and I have also tweaked a few things in the intake tract. Still on the 02 maxima intake manifold.

Special thanks to SR20DEN for some pointers on what direction to head. Every time I dyno and see my torque below 4000rpm I wish I had done a full 3.5 swap, but I got too sweet of a deal on that engine to pass up so I went with it.

I absolutely can not wait until this fall when it cools down and I head back to the 1/4 mile track.

Nice numbers. Looking forward to track results. I too cannot wait for the hot air to go away and cooler track days to come. Probably won't be anytime soon though. We're in the middle of a heat wave up here.

Oh, and you can get that torque number back up by doing what I did with the ignition timing. That is if your ECU responds like mine did.

yeah, this engine without vtc's is a drag lower than 4500rpms. The big question I have for you is: do you have aftermarket rod bolts for the extended rev you have?

Stock rod bolts. I am only running to 7000 rpm. Technosquare flashes the 350z ecu's to 7100 rpm on stock rod bolts, so I concluded that I would be fine.

Hot dang! Nice hp+tq curvature you've got there. Man, so your power/rpm is like a 3 stage hauler. 200, 250, and 270. Nice...

i'd go with arp rod bolts for added security. the 3.5 stock rod bolts aren't the best.

I can't wait to tune my car. it's running uber rich.

There's nothing wrong with the stock rod bolts unless you want to rev in the 7200-7500 RPM range.

I remember Matt said this before. Not really necessary to rev above 7000 which evident in his dyno graph seeing how the power starts to drop off after 6500 RPM's.

^ the power at 7000 is higher than it is at 5000. you land next gear higher in the powerband.

Ehh...not quite correct. Instead of shifting into a weaker powerband, he'll be shifting into a higher RPM range and thus into a much stronger powerband.

I'm at about the similar type of climate as dandymax, the heat waves we get are 90 degrees with 99 percent humidity, aka, severly down on power

Hey...SR20DEN...I just tried to PM you, but it says you can't accept any more messages due to a full Inbox. So:

"Hello. I'm not quite finished with my 3.5 swap, however, I'd like to be prepared for the tuning process. The car SHOULD be up and running within 1.5 weeks. Which product should I purchase as a "piggyback"? I was considering the E-Manage Ultimate. I'll probably need your assistance when the time comes, OK? Thx."
