How to remove old touch up paint?

Hello fellow .Orgers,

I have an 03 Max, the color is Sheer Silver Metallic. I bought the car from my grandmother about a year ago, and she had used touch-up paint years ago in several areas but did not clear coat over the touch-up paint. Now the touch-ups are faded to a yellowish color that is very unsightly.

I would like to remove the old touch up paint and reapply with clear coat. Is there a product that any of you know about that will remove the old touch-up paint without harming the surrounding clear coat, or is this a pipe dream?

Thanks in advance!

That would be tough work. Usually you have to sand it down. Or better yet spray a new layer of paint.
