Touch up paint...when during detailing?

Planning on doing a claying, polishing and waxing sometime in the next week or two, and need to address some paint chips and scratches.

Where in the sequence should the touch up paint be applied?

I'm thinking after washing the car with detergent to remove any leftover wax, apply paint, wait a week, they clay/polish/wax.

Make sense?

thanks

At least - if you're not careful you might pull the touch paint out with the clay. You could use some QD, after waiting a day or two, to protect the touch up paint while you're waiting.
