How do you detail your car?

Yea so I have a black 1998 nissan maxima, and when the sun shines at it, the car has lots of swirls and minor scratches. So is there any methods of detailing your car into removing swirls and minor scratches? thank you for your support..

A makita 9227C. With a gentle swirl remover. I do. you might need something more aggressive
Try this....

use a wool pad on the makita 9227C if your going that route.
follow with a polish (and a finsishig pad) then either a sealant or wax. Personally I prefer the wax as the level/depth of shine seems to be better using wax.
