Stay away from that and any similar products like chamois. Sure they sop up water well but they have no nap so if you missed washing off any dirt from your car, they grind that dirt into the paint because there is nowhere for it to go.

Microfiber towels on the paint ONLY.

so you wouldn't recommend using the absorber?

Yes, Scottwax is definitely right. Never touch your paint with anything other than Microfiber. Sham-wow's work wonders in the engine bay though...just like any other thing that isn't covered in dirt and grease...

Nope. Only microfiber.

Not a big fan of waffle weave microfiber though. Same issue with chamois, not enough nap.

Used a 2ft x 2ft MF cloth to dry my entire car yesterday. Did wonders. It's the only way to go. Detailed it with Liquid Ice...taking pics in a couple mins. The finish is fabulous.

I use the Absorber from Walmart. Works great. I have a black car and trust me you see just about everything so I have tried just about everything except SHam WoW. Not worth the 6 week wait if you ask me. And if they were as good as they say then you wouldn't need 8 of them. I use the absorber and cut it in half and works like a charm. As mentioned before don't use it when there is sand or other heavy dirt because it will just rub it in and scratch the paint but even a microfiber towel will do that unless you are constantly turning and rinsing it off. Takes me a quarter of the time to dry my car with the absorber than with a microfiber towel of equal size. Being in Hawaii time is something you don't mess with when washing/waxing/drying your car.
