MF towels vs. newspaper for windows?

I would like you guys/gals opinion on which is the best to use for window cleaning when detailing your car. I have been battling with this for several months now. MF towels seem like they do a wonderful job, but so does your everyday newspaper.

Thanks!

I normally use newspaper to clean the windows because it doesn't leave those annoying steaks or towel lint. It's also cheap and readily available.

I used to use newspaper, it works really well too even with just some water. But I got sick of having ink and that dry feeling on my hands and CLEAN Microfibers with some invisible glass do just as good of a job if not better. Back when I didn't have tint you couldn't tell if the window was up or down;

(I think front is down, back is half down)

I like using Danase glass cleaning MFtowels (http://www.danase.com/damiglclto.html) with Stoners or Sprayway glass cleaner. Great combo.

Tried both. Never looked as good as i wanted it to. Always streaks with windex, armorall glass cleaner, etc.

Recently came upon F-1 waterless wash and wax, I love it. Use that with a microfiber towel=absolutely perfect windows inside and out.

+1 for the MF glass towels. I never use anything else. Regular MF can lint on the windows.
Invisible Glass is what I use (in the trigger spray)

I used both with more or less equivalent results. I think this is one of those things where the technique is more important than the tools.

Dude newspaper, its really cheap and guaranteed you have it sitting around your house somewhere. Just throw on some gloves to avoid the old ink and dry feeling the poster above said. Don't drag the newspaper just slow semi-circles should be good.

Neither- I use t-shirts. MFs leave mfing strands, and newspaper leaves ink marks. T-shirts are the business.

I have this theory that newspapers aren't all that great, I mean if you think about it, where does the ink from the newspaper go? Your just smearing it into your windows it seems. Just use a clean cloth or un-inked paper towels. If your streaking it's becuase the towel or cloth you are using is dirty. Here's the cure to steaking windows, once they streak don't just try to keep cleaning it with the same cloth and spray, get 2 clean cloths and wet one and keep the other dry, simply wipe your windows down with the wet one and dry them with the dry one, in between each window go clean the wet cloth and rink it out, and repeat the steps. I had this problem when I first got my car becuase when they cleaned it at the dealership the guy used the same dirty towel he was using to wipe his hands so all his crap just streaked on my windows.

Hey guys. New to the site, but like what I see. Try our Window Shine and our MF Window Towel. The combo is great. No streaks, lint or mess. Just a crystal clear shine. Check out all of our products at www.QuikShineGarage.com.

Thanks

I have added tint to the windows and use Mirror Glaze and 100% cotton diapers. Any other window I use a dry towel.

I love microfiber. They work great for all kinds of applications. I recently found one at Target that has one side that works like a soft scrubber that gets rid of all kind of caked on scum.
