i used a lens restoration kit, cost me like $10 and it basically just involves what that guy in the thread said he did. if you dont have any scratches or anything to serious on the lenses (physically) then you could probably just brasso (polish) them and it'll work. otherwise you can take some fine sandpaper and sand them down in stages. the lowest i think you should start with is probably 600 (roughest) and thats for some really serious scratches. otherwise start at 1000 and work your way up to 2500 in increments of 500 (1000,1500,2000,2500). one big thing to make sure you do is to keep the sandpaper wet as well as the lenses. and keep rinsing off the lenses. after about 4 stages your lenses should look hazy and then use the polisher to make them like new again.

The Brasso works great. I did it this past weekend. Only cost me $2.50 at Walmart

I never had experience with Brasso on plastics, but it does wonders for my stainless steel Greddy catback!

I used the restore kit before, ~$15.00. Worked, but expensive and didn't do a better job than brasso.

After I saw this thread this afternoon, I ran straight to WalMart to pickup one, $2.68.
Put it onto a cloth and started my polishing. Man, you could definitely tell the difference after 30 sec. I think the solvent in the brasso helped a bit. I did each one for about 10min. Didn't get them abck to a "new" status, but, yes, they looked a lot nicer.
Remember to rinse them well afterwards or brasso will leave white marks around.

Thank whoever that suggested this.

Does this work for all headlights? I have a 1995 SC300 that has the same problem.
