How Do I Get the Gllue Off?

I had a roof spoiler put on my 08 Maxima last week and I noticed yesterday after the car was washed that there is some excess adhesive from the install on my roof as well as on the spoiler. The installer must have had soem residue on his hands and didn't get it off the car... Is there something I can use to remove this stuff. There are a few smudges that are noticeable.. Would claybar help at all? Anyone have any ideas, suggestions???

Will either of these effect the finish of the car? I assume I will have to wax and polish the area again since this stuff may also take off the wax???

+1 Either one of these should do it. You'll need to wax afterwards. Shouldn't be any reason to polish unless you scratch the surface while cleaning.

Make sure to use a micro-fiber towel to minimize marring and just give it a good wax afterwards.

Bug&Tar is safe for your paint as its made for clear coat but i would test googone or something like that on a hidden part of your paint, or plastic. Sometimes that can decolor the surface.

I have used goof off or something like that on my interior plastic when removing my dash kit but also used the same stuff to get stickers off my roof rack fairing and it discolored the roof rack fairing.
