I am wondering what an in expensive (possibly under 100) buffer would be? and I ahve never buffed before, and I have been reading some other posts about it so Im a bit weary to do it. I want to wax and polish my max this spring so Its something I am looking into ...any suggestions?
Nothing really good under $100. About the least expensive good unit would be the Porter Cable Random Orbit machine. About $129 to $139. Sometimes on sale at places like Lowe's for less. After that, the UDM for about $150 is a great machine.
There would be an added expense of pads. Figure you'll need a minimum of 3 pads at about $10 each. If you can spare about $200, you'd be able to get a very good starter system.
One thing I highly recommend is going to Autopia's good deals section. There are times that people are selling off their PCs for less. For instance, I have seen some folks sell them off with pads for under $100.

I just got mine delivered yesterday. I am going to "play" with it on the Edge this weekend and polish our bathtub.
That's great, never thought of that. My bathtub is so knarly right now that I'd have to break out the yellow compounding pad and some Menzerna Power Gloss to get that dag gum soap scum off. You gonna finish it off with some Klasse AIO and top it with a nice nuba? If it's a darker colored tub, I'd recommend the Natty's Blue.
