Waxing after Rattle can paint
Hey all. I'm touching up some paint on the car, side moldings, door handles, ect with a Duplicolor rattle can, and I was wondering how long I should wait before waxing the new paint? I have seen some places online they suggest 30-90 days on a "new" car, but does this hold true for the ol'rattle can?

Probably should give it a bit, but not 90 days. Thats usually for full repaints where they don't bake the parts, so it takes a month or two for the paint to off-gas through the clear coat.

i would wait 90 days on rattle can jobs.
but afaik, new cars can be waxed right away because they are baked at the plant (or whatever they do it). its just if you get a car REpainted is when you should wait 3 months.
