OK, this may be somewhere on here, but I checked this thread and didn't see it anywhere...

Is there an aftermarket product that can be used to clean the interior windows after they've been tinted. The place I had my windows tinted told me to NEVER use any Windex-type products on the tint, or else it would void my 5-year warranty on the tint.

Anybody have any suggestions other than a damp towel?

the main thing you should be concerned about is anything that contains ammonia....stay away from those (which most windex products contain) i use eagle 20/20 on the windows...but anything that doesnt have ammonia will do.

I got the IG at walmart. I think I've seen 20/20 at autozone.

i wipe them down with my absorber after drying my car with it. ive had my tints on for a year and they still look great.

Sprayway Glass Cleaner

Any non-ammoniated glass cleaner will be effective for tinted windows.

My tint shop said to use Plexus plastic polish. Besides cleaning, it seals the tint film making it more durable.

u can use windex but u must use the one w/o amonia like stated above

Plexus is fairly expensive. I've never tried it on tint. Makes sense it would do a good job of it. I'm not sure about the durability thing. It does leave a coating on the surface. It wears off and needs to be re-applied every couple weeks.

You're correct, I think it's about $8 a can. It's supposed to seal the 'pores' in the tint making it stronger. I hadn't heard about the coating part and it wearing off, though.

I use Sonus Vision glass cleaner. The main reason I got it was because it was safe on tint. Sonus Vision is only available online though.
I have heard only good things about Stoner IG. You can get IG at WalMart.

A lot of times a damp microfiber towel will do the trick on windows. No cleaners needed.

My tint guy said I can use pledge. I use this stuff callrf Protectint comes in a little bottle similar to novus

I use Stoners Invisible Glass, but I rarely clean my windows by themselves since I wash my car so often.

I picked up some of the Eagle 20/20 already along with a couple of microfiber towels, but I'll keep an eye out for the Stoners Invisible Glass at Wal-Mart the next time I'm there. Thanks for all the great suggestions, guys!

Stoners or Plexus. Cant go wrong with either. Just for the love of God dont get anythign with ammonia in it or youll look like the little ricer boy down the street with his purple windows furhter decreasing the looks of his pisspoor civic...

Crack heads in the hoods use plain old water to clean the windows and they look better than a window done with 20/20 or any other cleaner you could think of.. I use the 20/20

Has anyone tried the new NXT window cleaner? Supposed to be fogging inhibiting and safe for all tints.
