Just remember, fill the bucket up with warm water. Easier to wash the car that way, you wont freeze your @ss off too bad.

I learned this the hard way with my old deep evergreen 4th gen. Stay away from high pressure washes. They destroyed my paint. Scratches and swirlmarks everywhere.

Now I always wash by hand with stright front to back motions and low pressure water straight from the hose.

Same exact story for me:
I've had the car for almost 2 years and have never took it to a car wash, that is until last week (hand wash every time). After taking it to its first car wash i will never ever do it again. I went through it and all seemed fine at first. Next day as i was getting in, i noticed that the car was covered in tiny rust spots. Now i got even more work to do on it. A complete and total waste.

yes they wil make scratches if you car is dirty enough, it pushes all the grit on your car hard against the clearcoat while it slides away=scratches

Well, handwash my car last night. This morning, I saw two key mark on my car. @#$%#@#!@^& Probably the car is clean or is park at the corner. Don't know!

Anyone know how to remove the key line? I felt the line. How can I cover it up for the winter?

What kind of Maxima owner would let their car get so dirty a high pressure wash would cause the dirt to scratch it? Anyone who does that should be ashamed of themselves!

To get that sap off you can use blaster decal and sticker remover. Spray the DSR onto a paper towel and rub the spot until the sap comes off. WASH IT OFF IMMEDIATELY.

canadianmofo, i hand wash my car every week, and even after one day driving on wet roads, your car can build up enough dirt to scratch the paint. IMO, nissan paint sucks! every time i wash my car, i first go over it with a lint free cloth using front to back motions without putting any pressure. If i dont do this, even a little bit of dirt drags against the paint and makes some serious scratches. I bought the car a little less than 3 months ago, and one of the first thing i noticed when i got it was the small scratches all around the car from people washing it and dragging dirt...it doesnt take much
