To all those who purchased 4300k or 6000k bulbs from a group deal...

Question... is it normal for 35 watt 6000k D2R bulbs to be more blinding than stock bulbs and screw up your cutoff in a 5.5th gen maxima? I had stock sylvania bulbs in there before, and the output and cutoff was great, but they were losing their color and getting whiteish, so i went for a change and decided on the 35 watt 6000k bulbs to get some blue back, but they are crap. The output is HORRIBLE even compared to my dying 4300k bulbs. Now, I do understand that I was gonna lose some output going from 4300 to 6000k, but I didn't think the output would be this bad, it would virtually eliminate my cutoff, and they would be blinding people even after being aimed properly. Do they need time to adjust or something? cause this is ridiculous...

Secondly... all those who bought 4300k bulbs from a group deal, do they have the same color and output as stock bulbs? I called the stealer and they want $240 PER BULB... which needless to say is insane. I'm just wondering if there's any difference in quality that justifies the huge price difference...

Of course you are going to lose output with 6000K, it is around 25% loss IIRC.

Also, aftermarket D2R bulbs are usually D2C, which means it can be used for both projector and reflector. Thus, the cutoff "shield" ON THE BULB is not present.

i didnt realize it would be THAT much though.. because i had some 6000k bulbs from operatic in my 2001 max and the output on those was alot better.. you think it was the non-hid housing that made the output that much better, or the quality of the bulb?

this is utterly ridiculous.. i just realized tonight that there is not even any light on the road until about 6-10 feet in front of the car.. i can't see sh*t for the first 6-10 feet in front of me.. i'm getting my money back... all these same conditions existed when they sent me D2S bulbs instead of D2R, and i figured the issues would be corrected if they were the correct size for the car, but it's exactly the same.. has anybody else experienced these problems? i don't recall reading about any of this

well i know that blue-ish light has a tendency to scatter more than white. so no matter what blue you have, it'll scatter more than white light.

therefore aftermarket HID kits in non-hid housing with blue HIDS is very bad for other drivers. and it'll affected light on the groundas well. just a little side note.
