Oh how i hate the stealership...

So heres the story. Last week before installing my HID Kit I realized I have fog lights (lol) the tiny 2nd projector housing in the headlight. Anyways Ive had the car for about 4 weeks now and I never attempted to use them. So I try to turn them on... Nothing. They don't work. Both bulbs are either burned out or a fuse/short is causing them to not turn on. So I dropped my car off Wednesday at the stealership to get my "Shimmy" fixed again and told them about the fogs not working. After work I go to pick up the car and talk to the Shop Manager. I asked him about the fogs and he said the used car manager told him he wasn't allowed to replace the bulbs because I installed an aftermarket HID kit... I almost slapped him. I didnt realize a plug and play HEADLIGHT kit would cause my Fog lights that never worked to break.

Im tempted to smash my car into the front of the dealership.

bastards

Please make sure you post this in the Dealership experiences forum along with the dealership name and location and if possible, the names of particular service person(s)/manager you dealt with. This will make a lot of maxima owners aware of the bad service of that stealership.

That sucks, why would the used car manage have anything to do with having your car serviced, and the only way the fogs and in anyway connected to the headlights is becuase they share the same housing.

Spare the car and smash a chair into the used car managers face

the car had a few things wrong with it when i purchased it. Mostly the "Shimmy" but they had to service it etc. So its up to the used car manager if he wants to fix it. Car is out of its bumper 2 bumper warranty. Hes a dick tho.

shoulda left it stock first.. don't give the dealerhsips any reason oto deny working on the car, as they will take any chance they can get to weasel out of a repair.

Well if it wasn't on a "due bill" to fix it they didnt have to,as far as them not wanting to fix the problem i have no clue why they wouldn't they make money off of it whether it's warranty or not.
Unless you weren't specific and ask them to straight out fix it perhaps?

BTW i am not defending the dealership but most "used cars" that require some kind of repair work have a due bill associated with whatever repairs. They are not obligated to fix repairs after the car is sold to said owner and problems arise afterwards.

I spit my coffee out when i read this.

HID's will NOT cause your fog lights not to work. But you working on the car yourself can cause the dealership to void working on your car in similar aspects as to what you have already worked on, such as your case.
