Well if you are an automatic such as mine is then yes it will be required to to pickup the motor mounts from a manual car. Mine are done just a little bit different as we had setup an exchange routine for a few of the guys that wanted to have it done so I was the first to get the ball rolling. I first purchased a used crossmember from an automatic with it stock engine mounts, as the front mount on an automatic is n electronic mount it is larger in its diameter and the standard ES bushing is smaller than the stock front mount, the guy that was arranging the swap outs is a tool and die mechanist by trade so he had made a custom insert to be pressed into my front mount to reduce the diameter and then pressed in the ES bushing, as in picture 1


the rear mount is the same size as the normal mounts so the es bushing can be pressed indirectly as in picture 2


All the smaller sub bushing were also replaced with ES bushings as in picture 3


Once the crossmember was completed with all the ES Bushing installed it was time to jack up my car and simple drop out my crossmember and replace it with the newly prepared one as in picture 4

and the process started all over again getting my crossmember ready for the next guy that was having it done.

If you are looking at doing your car only then you could pick up the front and rear engine mounts and remove the stock bushings and have your new ES bushing pressed in, don't forget to pickup all the smaller ES sub bushings, when your mount are prepared you can then jack up your car and drop down your cross member and remove your engine mounts and replace them with the new prepare mounts (note: your front mount has a plugin connector simple unplug it and leave the harness hanging in front of the engine) you will have to remove your older small sub bushings and replace them with the new ones (should you wish to) but it makes sense to replace all the OEM bushings at the same time. Then just reinstall your crossmember and your done.

With regard to what wrenches were use and the proper torque for the bolts, you can ask knight_yyz as he was the one that did all the converting and the final installing.

i have a question for you regarding the e/s motor mounts.. so i read you swapped out your front and rear mounts, and i'm also interested in doing that in my car.. BUT i've read to swap out the mounts in an automatic maxima, the motor mount brackets have to swapped out from a manual transmission maxima.. could you please help me out with some info and explain to me everything you did to complete the motor mount inserts swap.. thank you
