yeh, thats 1 thing i noticed i was worried about the Z. i think road and track did a long term test on an 03 and the tranny blew like around 30k miles. the one i saw was an 03 w/ 16k miles for 19k at the dealer but no warranty.

the hyundai genesis motor is not based upon the evox motor, although it has similar components. the block is sourced from the mitsubishi ralliart (4B11) with the exception of the added turbo but the turbo is pretty pathetic since its so tiny. most of the components in the evox block are forged where the genesis aren't. Other than the rods and pistons, the rest looks decently strong and theres still a lot of potential. the stock block should handle up to 400 whp.
so basically, its like a watered down, detuned, evo x motor

the genesis 2.0T is just a Hyundai Evo X... so it already has a huge aftermarket support for the engine already...go for it

the problem with the 350z's are that there are just too many on the road, they alignment issues, they fether tires badly, and the 6sp trannies blow too easily.

G35 sedan has none of those problems, plus its lighter then the coupe and it does have more weight to loose then a 350z. I would love RMT one of the sedans though, which would be my intentions

my choices right now are: 02-03 low mileage wrx (unlikely), 04-05 wrx (unlikely as well),
09 civic si 2 door, '10 hyundai genesis 2.0T manual, a low mileage 350z manual

I cant make up my mind I would like to get when the funds are available. I'm currently siding with a G35 Sedan 6sp (since they can be had for 11k with not so high mileage)
