You won't believe this, but when I bought my 1999 Max, the speedometer was off 10 MPH (checked against my GPS). I took the cluster out of the dash (not hard), and GENTLY pushed the needle back a little to the proper position. WOrks fine now, and is right on the money. To get it fixed, or re-calibrated, it may cost $175-$225 to send it out to someone with the proper tools. Give it a try, just be careful. Worked for me.
