FS: Modified 98 Maxima SE

Well here it is up for sale, never thought the day would come, but ive decided its time to give her up.

I would like to sell it as is, as i do not feel like removing any of the modifications right now, i will post the craigslist add on here.

http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/cto/1138874002.html

To the right person, im willing to let it go for around 7-8000$ Id really like to see it go to the right home where it wont get crap kicked.

Anyways lets see what we can do! Help me fund for my new car!

I thought all this time you were boosted.... guess I was wrong.
Good luck with the sale. You have some quality parts on that car.

What are you looking at for a new car?

Good choice, but make sure to buy a late 2000 or 2001, the early 2000 are known for the carbon build-up problem and bad vanos. This is very costly to replace the Vanos. I've been shopping an M5 for quite some times now, but I've decided to finish my max project before I get the M5. In the meantime I bought a 4.4i X5, that's giving me a good idea of the V8 bimmer. Lol Next spring I'll be shopping for 2k3 with low mileage.

Good luck with the purchase.

Picked up a 2000. It is right on the verge of the new piston ring design, the general concencus is it could be either. It burns approx. .5 liter every 3500-4000K miles which is pretty damn good considering how bad some are, although i wish it burned none.

I do have the Carbon build up unfortunately, but its just another reason to go for the Powerchips ECU Upgrade

Vanos is not bad, talking to a few guys, including Chris(Dr.Vanos), 98% of the Vanos related issues is either a Bad Vanos Solenoid or Cam Sensor. The rare case, it is actually the vanos gear which gets clogged. Unfortunately if BMW seens a VANOS code, they recommend replacing The WHOLE vanos unit, which, obivously 98% of the time fixes it, because they replace the solenoid too, or the cam sensor turns out to be the whole issue
