This is more of a question about Y Pipes. I am new to the forum so any help is apprec

Looking for information on 4th gen Y-Pipes and possibly the pipe itself.
I am new to this. Am adding a Greddy SE exhaust but things I've been reading about the Y-pipe intrigue me. I called Stillen, they don't make one any longer. Who does make one and who makes a good piece that their company stands behind?
Thanks

oh boy.... your choices boil down to this:
1) Cattman. Makes a killer product. but you do pay for the finishing. He is traditionally more expensive. You pay for what you get. available through this site. His phone number is listed in the group deal section/vendors forums
2) warpspeed.here: Cheaper. some members have stated that they have problems with the flex section rotting after a year or two. others have nothing but good to say. check with ebay.
3) try to find one f/s on this board. They go FAST. You see one you need to place a deposit asap. troll the f/s section daily. hourly if need be. I spent the better part of a year looking for one. Most members didn't want the hassle of shipping to Canada.

Depending on who you talk with hp claims are all over the map. One guy claimed 30 hp. He didn't tell you that it does make that at 6100-6300 rpm. I don't know about you but I try not to spend much time driving in that rpm range. Personally I have a used budget that I really like. There is a note change in the exhaust at idle. Deeper. Throatier if you will. From the butt dyno there is a small decrease in hp on the lower rpms (I believe but c'mon we all know how honest the butt dyno is) but once you pass about 2500 or so it really picks up. Average gain I would say is about 20ish through most of the rpm range. Less at lower, more at higher.
Any other questions feel free to ask.
Where you located?
