tranny swap

Does anyone know someone in Edmonton who could do a tranny swap for me?

long story short, my 3rd gen has been making a jolt from R to D for the last 12-14 months, i thought it was my tranny mount so i took her in today. they said my mounts are fine but my tranny has some bad sh!t going on in it

i love my 3rd gen, not something i am willing to part with so my 2 choices are go to a tranny specialist and do some rebuilding or a tranny swap. if someone could even do a 5spd swap that would be awesome but even a new auto tranny would be awesome. i dont have the know-how to do it myself neither the time right now. there are usually low KM 3rd gens at pick-n-pull and there was a 5spd 3rd gen but i went yesterday and it was on deathrow so its sadly already crushed by today

Just talked to my friend and he won't re-build it, but he will install the rebuild unit.
He's not really feeling the 5spd swap as he has never done one of those before.

$250 R&R the auto tranny. you supply fluids. NO GST!!!

thanks man but good news, my tranny is fine. i took it to a tranny shop and the guy took her for a spin and said she shifts fine, he said it wasnt the best that i was driving her in power mode for the last 9 or so months but he said just keep her in regular and comfort and shes fine

just another question, does he weld or anything? SpeedTech Racing Development was supposed to weld in my Sparco seats today but i had to cancel because of having to get my tranny checked out. Top Racing in WestEd talked to Sparco and they dont have 3rd gen Sparco seat bases anymore so they have to be welded to my factory bases, SpeedTech said 90 bucks a hour, and it would take 2-3 hours most likely and worst case 4 or 5. If he could weld em that would be great but if not no prob, i'll rebook at SpeedTech

no. He doesn't do welding of any sort.

Well, that's good news about your tranny.
