Bye Bye Maxima

ok guys today was a bad day for me. got up to go to school today and taking the exit off of whitemud drive into anthony henday going northbound. car slipped tried to control it but no use, car hit the light pole. it missed me by about 15 to 18 inches. hit the driver side rear door. the light pole broke right off the base, hit the roof of my car and then bounced off and hit my trunk.

i posted the pics on my cardomian profile.
checked it out its a sad day for me.

there might be a part out soon, i m not sure about it yet though.

raziq... I am sorry for your situation. Hope you are ok. That was some good driving though... most people would have hit the light standard on the front of the car and taken out the front end.

If you are parting... shoot me a pm and I might pick up some stuff from you. lmk.

Take care.

thank you guys.

u know its funny everyone kept telling me to get a new car but i liked the maxima so much that i just kept fixing it, i just replaced the alternator and starter, replaced the serpetine belt, both front wheel bearings and both rear hubs, and the list just goes on and on. i m gonna hate to see my max go. i was actually planning to do a 5-speed swap this summer.

well i m happy that it didnt happen today, i had my second year apprenticeship exam today, if it were today i would have been screwed.

i do have some parts that i havent even installed yet so i think i will start getting rid of those first.

i m not getting any money for my car from my insurance company as i had liability on it. do u guys think i can sue the city for the damages? or how about would i go from here?

i was going about 40 to 50km/hr. it was about -50000.00 degrees of celsius that day, and the roads were slippery, after i was there for about an hour then the cops and the fire dept and the ambulance showed up, and half an hour later the sand truck came. i was cold and pissed off.

phone this shop.... 66st. autobody ltd. 780.474.5078 Eddie Chan is the owner.

last time I was there he had three 95-6's in stock that he was wrecking. from the pictures your rear section looks to be ok. it's the door and some of the roof that is messed up.
Anyway... that shop offers full body repairs. He is going to paint my front clip AND stillen kit and install for 1600. Most body shops were 1000+ just for painting the kit and I had offers of up to 4300 to paint the front clip. just sayin. I don't know of anyone who has had work done there yet.

I doubt you would be able to get any compensation out of the city for your incident. Infact I wouldn't be surprised if you don't get a bill from EPCOR regarding replacing that light standard. They are pretty guarded about giving money away. I know from first hand experience regarding some pothole damages to my summer rims. BTW... did you get a ticket? Did you have the car towed back to your house?

i wanna get the 3Door 6speed. still not sure as VW hasnt given alot of details about it.

Wat do u guys think about the GTI? i m going for GTI cause i m getting a deal from work not too sure about the long trem reliability, my other considerations are Civic SI coupe, mini cooper S, or VW Golf VI Diesel.

My friend has a 07 GTI. There fun, but im not a big fan of VW. Id take a new civic SI over one. Those things have some potential too, and get good gas mileage!!
