6000K 35W in stock 98 housings, glare shield added, been flashed maybe 3-4 times in 14 months.
My new setup is:
98 Clear housings, Porsche E-Code bi-xenon projectors with STi 3" clear lenses. High beam modified, with phillips 85112 + 4100K bulbs, and matsu****a gen 3 ballasts
Knock on wood with my old setup i never had any problems, but hids in stock housings are better then stock but still suck. FWIW, one projector put out way more light then both my stock headlights with hids in them.

Have any of you fellow Canadians been pulled over because of your HID headlights/etc?
Pulled over yes...many times (not necessarily due to HIDs though)
2. Where did you get your HID kit? Who installed it? How much did it cost you all in all...? (For Canadians..)
8000k H3 kit from (PM me if you want his contact information)...installed myself..cost me $120 total.
3. Did you put your hid's in stock housings or aftermarket housings (if so, which aftermarkets?)
HIDs are in projector housings that I have retrofitted with TSX projectors.
IMO I think Toronto cops are more concerned about blue lights (i.e. LEDs) in turn signals or anywhere on the front of your car

I've never had so much as a glance in my direction from a cop or paid any attention to due to my blue 194 running lights... which I think is odd. Now that I said this watch me get a ticket, but I have seen other people (well, like 2 other toronto cars) with blue lights on the front of their cars.. hey, the TO buses have them, so I don't think that's illegal. Though maybe like a 10000k or 12000k hid kit maybe... no clue. is why I'm posting hah.
I use the HID's in my fog lights and an 02 headlight for my 01 Max. So far have not been pulled over yet. I used to run 6000K HID's in my stock 01 headlight and aimed the beam low (below top portion of car trunk lid from about 10 ft distance as my gauge). Never got so much as a glance on those as well.
I've been sitting on a pair of FX bi-xenons for the past 6 months... jonesin to get them installed. How'd you find the retrofit? What shroud did you end up using?
