Nissan raising the MSRP of the Maxima as of 05 Jan 2009.
I got an email from my dealer today since I was talking to them about the 09 Maxima. The dealer said Nissan is raising the price of the Maxima and Altima as of 05 Jan 2009.

They said Nissan Canada lowered the prices on all models drastically in Sept of 2008 because the Canadian dollar was at par with the USD. Now, the CDN dollar has fallen and Nissan will be readjusting. The MSRP of the Maxima will go up $800, and Altima Sedan will go up by $500.

I am surprised by this considering the state of the world economy. Nissan must be pretty confident about their status in all of this.
