let me know. well actually 3rd to 5th but 4th are the easiest to work on.

Well if you have not heard my threads yet

ever seen a problem where your ! and battery light come on together on and off randomly ?

well i know you are saying alternator (check) - next
starter (check ) next
battery (check) next
Extra ground cables ( check ) in 6 different locations, next

i duno whats next, been driving like that for the last 3 months and the car has not died ONCE , starts like a dream just those lights pop up every day on and off...

Great thread! My 1st and 2nd gears are making some odd noises. If you are around the GTA, let me know I would appreciate any help.

where can I check the code for the "check engine soon" light for free?? Napa? CT?

You can check it yourself with a screwdriver or I can check it for you depending on the year.

I introduced myself in a sticky earlier today. I live near ottawa and I just bought my second Maxima, its a 2000.

Already tried to check the ECU with a screwdriver but ya cant do that in a 2000, started in 2001. All I have on my ECU is two small holes side by side. Not sure what they do.
