I read a lot on 2k2 MAFs going bad but haven't heard anything on the 2k3s yet. I just wanted to know cause if my MAF does f$uk up down the road i can see the dealer blaming it on the intake.

on the 5th gen, the only true way to reset the ecu is using an OBD-II tool (or nissan's consult2 computer).
i read that the FSM for the 5th gen says to leave the battery unplugged for 24 hours to fully reset the ecu.
what i did when i re-installed my intake (the same day i got my y-pipe), was disconnect the battery for about 10 minutes and then turned the headlight switch to ON and held the brake pedal down to relieve any capacitance in the electrical system. don't know if it worked, but the car felt 'better' after a day of ripping it through the rpm ranges.
there's a few dealers that are cool with mods (although i have yet to visit any of them with my mods on as i just did the last service myself):
Morningside Nissan
Alta Nissan Richmond Hill
i think the MAFs on the 2k3s are the redesigned units that the blown-2k2s were getting. akrus had his 2k2 MAF give up the ghost and he got the new one no hassles.
hope that helps
