At the Edinburgh Raceway this Weekend

I was at the Edinburgh Raceway this weekend and I saw a Pontiac G8 (white) run a 14.5 in the 1/4 mile. I was thinking to myself "damn that was really slow for a car with over 300HP"!!

What gives? I've read that this car does 13s in the 1/4 so I was expecting to see that on the board but I think it trapped at somewhere around 96mph as well.

It could be that this car was relatively new and hadn't really been broken in but then again "why would he be at a racetrack racing a car that hasn't been broken in ???"

Is this a normal 1/4 mile for these cars?

Was it a g8 gt? or just a v6 g8? Anyways if it was a GT, the driver was new to drag racing or just bad at it.
