First AutoX, advice?

Pretty much waht the title says, I'm going autoX-ing Sunday (running the DSP tire class due to minor mods and 235 Falkens) any advice for running the Maxima or being halfway competitive? I mainly want to have fun, but I don't want to come in last all the time.

Thanks all

I'm going to guess unless the field was insanely hardcore...you didn't come in last unless it was in your dsp class.

you run auto-x the same with any fwd car, and even Bejay will tell you that seat time and learning is your primary goal right now.

well, it would have been good, had my alternator not died the day before, I'll keep you all informed as I continue to try and have some good luck sometime.

On a FWD car:

you want the rear tires to have higher psi than the fronts. Thats how my Maxima was set up for the street in the first place.

most courses, you rarely go higher than 2nd gear, unless you get some long straights.

Always look ahead to the next corner.

Hope these help.
