close out "R" compounds

I found a closeout deal on Hankook Z211 race tires, I thought I would share.
http://speed.racingjunk.com/post/995...kook-Ventus-Z2 11-C50.html

Currently they have 225/45/17s 2 sets and 275/40/17s 1 set left. Tires are $75 each plus shipping. The 4 275s I ordered today were $370 shipped... score

Would these be any good in the rain? I doubt they are but I figured I would ask.

Im looking for a set of rain track tires in 225/45/17 so that would be great if they are good in the rain. Most likely I will end up getting some summer tires in that size that are good in the rain.

^^ Well they have tread so they would be better in the rain than a "slick" but not as good as a real "rain" tire. I think they would be fine for a wet track or wet autoX as long as there was no standing water. Heavy rain and standing water would need a real "rain" tire. On the plus side, once the tread is worn down you can run them as dry tires.
