Yes. SCCA's official name for what most of us call auto-X is "Solo". And it's really a whole separate and distinct branch of motorsport activity - along with Club Racing and Rallying.

Within Solo there are a number of categories (e.g. Stock, Street Prepared, Modified) and several classes within each category in an attempt to group cars with similar performance potential together.

here's some more for track days and such

http://comscc.com/index.html

http://nasanortheast.org/autocross.htm I don't know what happened to NASA in the northeast, but as long as the same guys are working the events, they are a great organization, for auto-x, HPDE's and actual racing.

Check out CARTCT (http://www.cartct.com/index1.shtml) and, my favorite, FCSCC (http://fcscc.com/). Both of those are in CT but they are great. SCCA/NER have already been mentioned.

Here's the schedule for the rest of the season (check for updates on the appropriate site):
June 3 CART
June 9 NER National Tour at Devens
June 10 NER National Tour at Devens
Saturday, June 16 FCSCC Plainfield, CT
June 24 CART
June 24 NER Devens
July 8 CART Siemon Company, Watertown, CT
July 15 NER Devens Hot Cross Barnes
July 22 FCSCC Plainfield, CT
July 29 CART
August 5 NER Devens
August 12 CART
August 18 FCSCC Plainfield, CT
August 25 NER RAL weekend Jeff Gordon Challenge/
Bill Goodale Novice Challenge
August 26 CART
August 26 NER RAL Event at NHIS
September 9 CART
September 16 FCSCC Plainfield, CT
September 23 CART
October 7 CART
October 7 NER Devens
October 13 FCSCC Plainfield, CT
October 21 CART

Autocross is the sh!t, you're going to love it. Since you are probably a little nervous about going to your first event, dont be - its really easy to figure out what you're doing there (that doesnt mean you'll be fast, Im talking about knowing how an event works lol). Its a lot of fun! What color is your car? I'll look for you at some events (though I might not be running my max there... we'll see).
