Hello all,
Since I have an 03 Max and an 06 SpecV, I felt its ok to share my track videos with you in my Spec. I'm sure you can all appreciate them. I hang pretty well with the 350Z (traffic helps, but still)
A few pics as well.
They are from Moroso in Palm Beach, FL.
Nice vids....that granny driver in the Porsche didn't hurt your being able to 'hang' either
That yellow car was a little monster though....I'd love to autocross but the closest I can come is taking on deserted country roads...I may go check out Memphis Motorsports Park's little road course sometime...
I should have added that...
My Spec has several mods, mostly brakes and suspension.
Nismo Header, CAI, FSB, RSB, Catback, Shock/Springs
4pt. Lower tie bar
Powerslot rotors, hawk pads, SS brake lines,
Energy suspension motor mounts
Gram Lights with Falken Azeni 615's for the track only.
Mobil 1, Redline MTL in the Trans. and high temp brake fluid.
All in all its a good setup and a great little car on the track.\
I'm keeping the engine mods down since its still under warranty, just in case.
PS. Anyone in S. Florida, next track event is at Homestead, April 28th if your interested.
Its tough when you have the slowest car out there... but I hold my own pretty well.
I've got powerslot rotors and hawk hps pads. Its a great setup for street and track use. They hold up real well on the track and fine on the street, other than a little more dust.

not for nothing, but that track looks pretty beat up.....I think they let you run Sebring (which I hear isn't much better) down there, I didn't realize that until after I left Florida.
Spec looks like it does okay on the track. I would think the 615s have a bit more grip in them though. in my Maxima, I can keep up with stock 350Z or Z32s in the corners on 615s and outbrake most of them going in. only problem is the extra 100hp they have when I'm coming out of the corner.
Sicne you're out playing with Zs, are you planning on attending the Z convention in Ocrober? We'll be taking over Daytona Beach for the week, and we'll be running at Daytona- Skip Barber school's track during the week and Sebring on the weekend. should be loads of fun, assuming I don't blow up my car!
LOL.. If your down 100hp, I'm down a bit more than that.
The 615's are great tires, I'll be buying them again for sure. I'll look into that Z conventions but probably not. A little to far, just in case something breaks. About 5 hours from me.
5 hours?
bah.. people will be driving in from all over the country- it's about 1300 miles for me IIRC. 2 day drive. If you break something, rent a car for a few days and come back with a Uhaul. it won't cost you but a couple hundred more bucks to get it home if something like that happens. (been there, done that, blew an engine at Maxus 2 years ago when I was 150 miles from home. cost me 2 tnaks of gas and lunch for a friend to drive down with his truck and get me).
there will also be a handfull of Japanese cars there. i.e. Nissan Japan holds a 'lottery' every year and ships 12 cars over here from Japan for the convention. it's a HUGE thing, and one you don't want to miss.
