March 07 Fastrack

Item 6 on page 42 of this identifies the Scott Russell linkage as specifically tied to the '06 Maxima as being a form of independent suspension.

I am under the impression that a S-R is a means of lateral location for a beam axle.

Did Fastrack screw this up or does the '06 Max have some rather unusual suspension? Or am I all wet with this question?

here is a little photo of the rear suspension of the '06 or 07 maxima, from nissan's site



certainly don't see a beam axle or scott-russel link anyplace...looks like a pretty standard multi-link IRS.

I wonder if they meant to say '00 Maxima rather than '06 If so, that's pretty lame to call our rear setup "IRS"
