Maxima Racecar for Time Attack Class

Okay, not really. It's a fairly detailed build up of a Sentra for Time Attacks. i know most of us in here are autoXer's, but hittin the big track seems pretty appealling. some of the stuff they do to this Sentra gets me wondering of the possibilities with the Max. Anyway, enjoy!

good find jack...good articles...!

Mike Kojima has long been the wizard of setting up rear multilink beam cars such as b13, 14's, etc.

in fact, he was the first to get his beam bent to zero toe! he was the reason darin at west end created the jig to do it...it was all Mike's idea...

if you ever meet Mike, he is a really cool guy too

cool stuff! speaking of zero toe out back, i need to schedule that now (along with the alignment and coner wieghting) with Darin.

that panhard bar setup in the article was also an interesting mod. never even considered that to be a possibility. how about those adjustable sway bars, front and back. definitely an interesting read...

we just ***** about 1/4" off right rear bolt on the LTB2

I did have someone at the last autocross ask me "what the hell is BlehmCo?" when I was talking about the brake kit....

I told him it's a publicly traded fortune-500 performance automotive company, FTW.

HOW DARE you say B13 has that contraption of a suspension called multi-link beam !!!! :P

Only POS like 4th and 5th gens along with B14,B15 and B16 Sentras have this stupid setup.

Mike is a pretty cool dude. He used to be a engineer for Nissan in Cali before they told everyone- Move to TN. He unfortunately said F-NO and he quit his job there. Hes a diehard SR20 fan, I've tried to get him into VQs for a long time but he just won't do it. After Nissan Fked him he got into Mitsus and has a time attack EVO now. I know Mike personally and this year they are having a SE-R convention in Chicago bout the same time as MAXUS is happening in Chicago also...... he challeneged my time attack Maxima to a run. But I am building a time attack P10 G20.

The fun one is when people see the sticker on my 240... "WTF is BlehmCo?"
"Me."
"WTF?"
"I build parts in my spare time."
"You own your own company? but you're like young and stuff! Must be nice being rich. But why the hell do you drive a 240?"

Great find. Hey MikeK make one for me!

Parts 1 & 2 anybody could do. 3-6 I'm thinking this is gonna cost a fortune. Geez would you look at the cutting & boxing the frame just for the seat mount. Part 8 looked familar to me til I hit that lock plate thingy. OMG dual adjustments for KIA and SAI. Similar to what I just learned last year (diff scrub radius and other moving the top vs bottom in & out).

Part 9 custom custom custom $$$. Part 11 YES describing the problem with our cars "Mike's" axis. That's one of the huge problems with our lowering. (And to think I ran no FSB for grip Ah, the solution of course, throw out Nissan's design entirely and re-do it right. Duh.

hey any of you guys know if the rear upper mount for the 95-99 sentra is the same as 95-99 maximas??? i think they are and the reason i'm wondering is that Tein sells a pillow ball upper mount for the rear of the sentra but doesn't call that same p/n out for the maxima. just wondering...
