I tried searching so don't flame. I need the part #, where to order, and approx. price of the adapter to make my 4th gen Bose HU work in a 95 Pathfinder. I read about a non-bose to bose adapter but can't find now. Please let me know ASAP. Thank you in advance.

i dont believe that would work, but if you think you saw an adapter that goes from Bose --> Non-Bose then goodluck!

Why don't you think it's going to work? Like I said, I could of sworn I saw a post last year about someone doing this and can't find it anywhere now.

Bose HU are line level outputs. Non-Bose HU are speaker level outputs and typically don't have an external factory amplifier. No way a Bose HU will drive speakers without an amplifier of any sort.

Bose HU do not have line level outputs, but they are not amplified. They are "differential" outputs. They're not the same as line level outputs and worse, they're not compatible without a convertor box.

Back to the original poster's issue, I'm pretty sure that it will not work. You would be left with a system that has no amplifiers.

What about if I use the stock bose spkrs I took out of my max and hook them to the Pathfinder? Is the speaker harness in the Pathfinder compatible/same as the one in my max for it to work?
