Amp & Radio Input Signal Question...
I want to get a MTX Thunder 1000XD Amp. Problem is it's says the max input is 4V...and the gain setting on the amp is from 5V-2.25V...

My HD puts out 5V so is it ok to get this amp? meaning I probably wouldn't touch the gains or it doesn't really matter...just go by the ear?

Your HU puts out 5v MAX. You'll be in the 4V range during normal operating volumes. Not an issue. Or, just make sure your gains on the amp are never maxed out.
