Car audio is not my strong suit, I know more than some but less than alot. My current setup is a Pioneer HU, Infinity Reference 6.5" in the doors and rear deck. I also have 2 12" kicker comps and a kicker 1200 watt amp (older not sure of the model #) One of the surrounds on the subs met an unfortunate end due to some poorly placed cargo and some spirited driving. I picked up 2 SWE-1243 Alpine Type-E's last fall but never got around to installing them. I wanted to replace the amp too, call me vain but mostly due to the fact that it's ugly lol. It has scratches in it and doesn't match any other component I have and I'm trying to create a cleaner setup for the trunk. That said, I am NOT choosing components based on looks. Likewise I do not need this setup to blow windows out, this car is my DD in the summer and my playtoy. That's why I'm consulting you guys. I have done some research and looked at alot of amps. I like the PDX series of alpine amps but at $500 I feel its a little more than I need for my purposes. So I've looked at the Alpine MRP-F500. I don't listen to rap or R&B where the bass is dominant. Hard rock is all me. I want depth more than anything in my listening. So I'm questioning if my Amp choice is the correct one. My box is sealed and Alpine recomends an optimum of 1.25' I'm at 2.60 in a dual speaker box, which seems to be within their range. I plan to run a 2 ohm setup as well. Any advice on my choice of amps? or box for that matter? I don't need type R's so no need to tell me

The other question I have is capacitors. I'm running a yellow top, but I also have a lopey 3.5L swap and an underdrive pulley, so I was wondering if a cap would help the charging system or is it unnecissary with a smaller setup like mine?
