CDT CL61's? Anyone running them here?

Anyone running these? The CDT CL61A 6.5" Component set? Wooferetc.com currently has them for $140.00 shipped! I am thinking of giving them a try, or upgrading them to the 1" silk dome tweeters (CL61T24 package) for $160 shipped.

Also has anyone here played with Canton Pullman CS2.16 6.5" components?

Try'em out, I don't think many of us in this forum have used much of CDT's products.

I like my CDT EF-61CF. I've got the image enhancement kit (Extra 1" silk tweeter in my A-pillar) as well as the upgraded crossover (SatNet 560).

I have never heard the set you are looking at. But everyone seems to like the CDT comp sets especially the EF's and ES Series.

I've used CL's, HD's and ES's in my last car. Each progressive series is better than the last. The CL's are a nice budget option. The HD's I found had the best midbass. The Eurosport tweeter was the nicest of the bunch. All depends on your budget. One thing to watch out for is the speaker depth. They are pretty deep, double check how much room you have.

I'd spring for the HD's myself. The CL's are a nice drop in replacement and certainly waaay better than any OEM or entry level Kenwood/Alpine/Sony speakers that you'd be looking at.

Do you think the CL's can compare to say JL's XR series or only their VR Series? I am looking at getting rid of my Kicker Resolution RS6c components in favor of these.

I have heard excellent things about the HD's, but they are out of my budget.

Do you mind me asking, how much you picked up your EF set for and where you did? How do you like them? How is the midbass response? I am going to go with a silk dome tweeter, as I find the aluminum dome a little too bright/harsh.

I bought my EF61CF with the silk tweets and the image enhancement and upgraded crossover for $240 shipped from someone on SoundDomain.com forums

Midbass can be a little better - i still have to install MDF rings becasue the plastic enclosures on the door sucks and install dynamat but im happy with the set. I am running them with a JL 300/2 150 watts to each side.

Previously i was running the JL XR's and they just werent really cutting it and i think the CDT's sound better more natural ( the JL's tweets were very harsh and loud)

I have always used Infinity Reference series components and I've been interested in getting the CDT CL61As. Anyone know how these two different sets compare?
