2k2 max horrible reception after HU installation
I know that I will prolly get reamed for this thread. I read the FAQ sticky and there seems to be a fix for this problem, but from what I read in the FAQ I am still confused. Could someone please help.
I installed an aftermarket HU in my 2k2 max and used the antenna adapter (which removes the diversity part) and now my reception is crap. Any advice would be wonderful.

Apparently the antenna is actually a powered antenna (not to be confused with a power up/down antenna), and you actually have to connect the power antenna wire from your HU to the harness' power atenna wire.
I found out about this last week and connected the wire. My reception improved somewhat, but it's still not really useful.
And what it really comes down to is that you can either install an antenna somewhere on your car, get used to crappy reception, or get sat radio.

Cantonese, sweet.
Tangent - my mom was born and raised in Hong Kong. Speaks fluently. I'm 100% brown though. Pretty funny when we're at a chinese restaurant, or when I was little she didnt want me to hear what she was saying so she spoke to my gparents/uncle in cantonese.
