My friend has the 360 and is like it has better graphiccs than the ps3 (Which is still in it's development stage) I wanted to tell him to STFU but he was happy that he waited in line for 7.5 hours in the rain instead of reserving his like most people.

And the madness will only continue.... and eventually die off. Then it'll start all over again when the PS3 is released

Not only are there problems with the 360s, but Mircosoft really rushed to make sure they would come out for the holidays. Stores are getting only a few new 360s every week and after this batch for the holidays is sold out, there wont be another shipment for a couple months. Looks like Microsoft tried to stick it to Sony and is getting screwed in the process

Well there was a rumor that personnel from Sony were leaving and going to Microsoft. And the possibility of the PS3 being dropped due to lack of funds.

Here's the break down, there are three critical performance aspects of a console:

The Xbox 360 CPU architecture has three times the general purpose processing power of the Cell> (PS3).
The Xbox 360 GPU design is more flexible and it has more processing power than the PS3 GPU.
Memory System Bandwidth in the Xbox 360 exceeds the PS3’s by five times.

The Xbox 360’s CPU has more general purpose processing power because it has three general purpose cores, and Cel >(PS3) has just one.The Xbox 360 GPU has more processing power than the PS3’s. In addition, its features contribute to overall rendering performance. Xbox 360 has 278.4 GB's of memory system bandwidth. The PS3 has less than 1/5th of Xbox 360’s 48GB's of total memory system bandwidth.

Ok enough of the geek talk I'm gonna personally wait at least one moth before purchasing the 360* almost every time a new console is introduced 90% of the time there's something wrong with the software.

Yeah but there's one flaw the 360 has that PS3 won't have a problem with. The ability to play previous generation games. Microsoft has already said the 360 will not be able to play all the old Xbox games. While the PS3 will have the capability to play all 3 generations of consoles, PS1, 2 and 3.

Though according to Sony, the PS3 supposedly won't be able to use PS1 or 2 memory cards.

Xbox 360 is backwards compatible w/ about 200 Xbox titles.

The old Tank battle... oh man the good ole days. I think Atari still had it right. You hardly ever had to do anything to get them to play. Maybe a quick blow once in awhile, but then it would start right up. Not like Nintendo, where you about blew a lung just trying to get a game to work. Or clawing your face when a disc gets scratched, and the game chops up like on Xbox and Playstation.

actually..the reason people started blowing games was because when paperboy came out for nintendo..there was some kind of bug in the game and people seemed to "fix" it by blowing at it and wiping the cartridge pci-slot part down with rubbing alcohol..i swear it worked every time...

I always played Double Dragon with my bro on Sega Master system...sigh...countless hours of fun!

Anyhow, the PS3 is actually a superior system in every aspect in comparision to the Xbox 360, but honestly that does not matter; what does matter is your preference in games because those extra few kiloflops of power, added realism...screw it PS3>360 =P

Honestly though, pick the system based on what games you like, though expect the Cell Processor to the be a new standard even for PCs and such

Get one of the bad xbox 360's? Good news!!!! Looks like they've released a "glitch fixer" incase you spent a grand or over and got one of the xbox's not functioning properly......
