Alpine Type R components in a 96 i30

Alpine Type R components in a 96 i30

hey guys, i have heard that the alpine type r components need enlarger baffle rings for the fron doors. what size are we talking?

They need to be slightly larger than the outside diameter of the basket and approximately 1/2" thick so the basket will lay on and mount to the surface after the ring is mounted to the door.

now with the baffle, there is still enough clearence for the speaker excursion? cause a half inch in there is a decent amount of room taken up.

also have any of you put rear speakers in your doors in your max's or I's 96-99, i have a jl e2150 that i could use to power my components and then i can use a 4 channel amp to power the rear set of speakers.

the new ones are 2 3/4 mounting depth, thats not bad

Yes.

Yes. I have a second set of components in the rear doors. I would recommend just a pair of coaxials.

hard to do man? i have like limited **** to work with here, plus id need a beige colored speaker cover to have it blend in, i want it to look stock, well yours is also anewer model than mine
