Buying new system
Finally I decided to get rid of the bose and I think I want a new system?
First question is should I keep the Bose headunit?
I kinda wanted to and add a 10 inch sub...
my finance would be around 300-400$ on new sound system... looking to see what you guys think.. i want something with a good amount of bass but not too loud... no rattling sound.. i just need some guide and help on car systems and maybe some suggestions would help too!

I would recommend this 10" sub. It is an RL-i10 from Soundsplinter for $169 dollars. I think that it will be difficult to find something that will outperform it in this price range. I've had mine for a while now, and I am pretty happy with the sound and output.

For the amp I was going to point you in this direction (an MTX 421D for $159.95), but they seem to be out of them now. Maybe you could give them a call and see if they could help you out.

Here is another MTX amp (Thunder502), it will do around 500 watts RMS. This one is $175 dollars. The sub I have in the bottom link will extract all the power from it when you bridge it.

You could also go with this sub from O Audio (http://www.oaudio.com/TC2_PLUS.html). It is a 10" single 4 voice coil sub and it's going for $145 dollars. It is made by the same people that make the Soundplinter sub, they are both TC2+ subs(TC Sounds - http://www.tcsounds.com/TC2plus.htm). The thing is that Soundsplinter only has the dual 4 ohm version, and with the MTX stereo amp you will need a 4ohm sub to get all the juice out of it.

Diamond D6 10 with a D3600.1. I have had a wonderful ride with Diamond. The lifetime warranty on their amps set the hook. Call Don and see what he can do for you. He will be able to get you started with great equipment for awesome pricing.
