Four-channel amp under passenger seat?

Hey, I'm looking for a small, quality four-channel amp to mount under the passenger seat of my 4gen. My plan is to run it in tri-mode, with two channels powering front components and the other two bridged for a 10" sub.

Any recommendations? I've found a few smaller amps that might work (Hifonics ZX6400 or NX880, Monitor 1 MK4.70 w/ no Xovers, PG Octane 5.0:4, Soundstream VGA320.4) but aren't absolutely sure they'll fit. I don't want to burn any more space in the trunk besides the sub.

Anyone do this before, have any advice for amps to look at, or any to avoid? Thanks in advance for suggestions.

TOM

Do you have power seats? Not sure about 4th gens but on my 5th gen, non power seats, there is room for a small child to fit under the seat lol. I dont think youll have a problem but you might want to make sure with some other 4th gen owners who might chime in soon.

Might want to check this one out.

This is Memphis car audio's Memphis Belle. A 5 channel amp, and the 5th channel for the sub is 1 ohm stable. I'm not sure on size, but it seems to a be a little bigger than my 500D I have in my truck. You can click on the "Cardomain Site" below and you can get a good idea on how big it is.

Thanks for the lead. But assuming the amp is something like their 16-MC600D (which is in their spec sheet, but not the 16-MCH600), it's almost 18" long. I'm just not sure how I could fit that under the seat. I had considered 5-channel amps before, but they all seem to have that extra length that makes under-seat installation difficult.

Regarding the passenger seat, it's manual (not power) which does give me some extra headroom. I haven't physically gone out there with a tape measure to get my exact volume yet, which I should do today or tomorrow.

Thanks,
TOM

They do offer a smaller one, but with about half the wattage. I'm sure there are a few companies out there that make that style.

As for what brand to go with... Jensen USED to make some really good ones. I had a 300 watt 4 channel... and it was awesome. As for the new ones I have no idea. I really haven't dealt to much with multi channels for the past couple of years. Guess it's about time to think about that again, considering I'm going to add a equalizer.

Good luck
