UD pulley and stereo

I have a 1000 watt amp running two 10's. I also have one 1 farad cap and stinger deep cycle battery. Will a UD pulley be bad for my situation.

if your talking about an underdrive pulley, and the altenator, then i guess the altenernator will do its job still, well probably even better since the udp would spin much faster than a stock one, so your battery would be charged up quicker.

absolutly wrong the pulley spins the same speen but has a shorter circumference thus moving the belt less causeing the alternator blet to not move as fast.

I cant answer your question but you could probably get away with a blue top and a cap

Well Unorthodox racing makes a SC pulley. Which is basically a lighter pulley than stock which gives you thr HP. It isn't a underdrive cause it isn't smaller. I will get that one.

An underdrive pulley does turn the alternator slower than the stock pulley (at a given RPM), but this has no effect on how it charges the system, because an alternator charges throughout the entire RPM range, even at idle.

In the "old" days, cars had generators which put out lower voltage at slower RPM's. This is why they don't put generators on cars anymore.

I have an Unorthodox Racing UDP on my 04' Max, and have had no problems so far. As a bolt-on performance item, I recommend it. Good bang for the buck.
