Opinions on Phoenix Gold amps?

I'm thinking of replacing my current Kenwood Excelon 5-channel amp with a Phoenix Gold 5-channel amp. Does anyone have any opinions on their Octane series? How would they compare? Is it worth swapping? I have the KAC-x859 and I'm looking at the PG Octane 9.0:5.

Thanks

I have used the PG ZXTi series amps and must say their best asset is that they look cool. That and a fairly complex crossover for biamping components. But they are priced at about twice the amount of comparable amps. Don't expect to get the raited output from a PG amp without 14.4 volts of rock solid input power. The PG is less efficient than many other amps and the increased heat necessitates the fan. If it is within earshot the fan may be louder than the quiet portions of your music.

All that aside they will last a long time and the sound quality is as good as any other amp.

I'm sure that their newer amps are more efficient. Hopefully, anyways. Thanks for the input.

Their MS and MPS series stuff was nearly indestructable. Their new stuff loosks less than impressive, though.
